VBScript (Visual Basic Scripting Edition) is an Active Scripting language developed by Microsoft that is modelled on Visual Basic. It is designed as a “lightweight” language with a fast interpreter for use in a wide variety of Microsoft environments. Its use ranges from administrative scripts for Network Administrators to the addition of dynamic capability to Web Pages where it provides both server-side and client-side capability. VBScript can be used to access the capabilities and functionality of ActiveX, Active Server Pages and Databases. By the end of the course delegates will be able to write moderately complex VBScripts.
