Audience

These courses are for existing system administrators experienced in one flavour of UNIX or Linux who wish to transfer their existing knowledge to a new flavour of UNIX or Linux.  It is particularly suitable for people changing from using UNIX to Linux.

Prerequisites

Six month’s experience of UNIX system administration.

Duration

2 days. Hands on.

Course Objectives

Workshops are tailored to meet the needs of each client and can include any combination of Solaris, AIX, HPUX, Red Hat, SuSe and Ubuntu.

On completion of the course delegates will be able to manage and provide first line support of a UNIX system in a new flavour of UNIX.

They will be able to cope satisfactorily with the day-to-day administration of a multi-user site and provide support to both system and users within the new flavour of UNIX.
