Audience

This course is for experienced AIX system administrators who will be installing, configuring and/or supporting clustered UNIX Servers.

Prerequisites

Delegates should be experienced AIX Administrators. Attendance at Verhoef’s UNIX The Essentials, Shell Programming and AIX System Administration or equivalent knowledge is required. A good understanding of TCP/IP is also needed and completing our Understanding TCP/IP class would give delegates the knowledge to attend this course.

4 days. Hands on.

Course Objectives

This course introduces delegates to the concepts of high availability and HACMP for AIX.

On completion of the course delegates will be able to:

  • Understand the concepts and terminology of HACMP.
  • Know the hardware requirements for installing HACMP.
  • Install and configure HACMP.
  • Administer an HACMP cluster
  • Support and troubleshoot an HACMP cluster.
