Existing Oracle 10G DBA's needing a thorough understanding of the New Features in Oracle 11G from a DBA viewpoint.

Prerequisites

The course is for experienced Oracle Version 10.2 DBAs.

Duration

2 days. Hands on.

Course Objectives

This course is designed to bring existing R10.2 DBAs up-to-date with the new features in the 11g release, covering the following areas: 1) 11g DBA database server features 2) 11g Enterprise Manager new features 3) 11g RMAN new features The course addresses database server issues that all DBAs will need to be aware of. As a product, Oracle is ever expanding its horizons to a degree that now encompasses a significant proportion of the datacentre skills requirement. There is no longer time for an individual to learn Oracle offerings in their entirety. In response, many data centres have DBAs specialising in particular areas of Oracle DBA and we have adjusted our course breakdown to reflect this. The “11G new features for DBAs” course is a good introduction that will make all DBAs aware of platform advancements in the new release.
