Audience

This course is designed for Operations personnel, Scheduling personnel, and Help Desk Personnel.

Prerequisites

The participant should have a basic understanding of JES2 Concepts.

Duration

3 days. Hands on.

Course Objectives

After taking this course the student should be able to:

  • Explain JES2 syntax rules and using them to construct JES2 commands and respond to JES2 messages.
  • Use JES2 within the Scope of Sysplex
  • Use JES2 command to control components of the JES2 System
  • Use the proper format of JES2 commands to control components of the JES2 system.
  • Use JES2 commands to control remote stations and lines. (RJE)
  • Use the JES commands to control SPOOL function
  • Use JES2 commands to control jobs in the JES2 environment
