iSeries Advanced Operations

Audience

This course is ideal for experienced IT operators and administrators.

Prerequisites

Attendees should be familiar with the operating environment of the system. They should have attended i Operations or have equivalent experience

Course Objectives

The course aims to allow you develop some basic programming, work management, menu building and iSeries Navigator skills. There is some overlap with the i Operations course; however topics are dealt with in a more in-depth fashion. There are extensive hands-on exercises. On completion you will be able to write simple CL programs and menus to simplify and automate operations. You will have a better understanding of how the system carries out work and you will be able to use iSeries Navigator to carry out operations.
